The North Georgia Technical College Foundation Board of Trustees announces that an anonymous donation has been made for a newly established Second Chance Scholarship. The funds are designated for those who are currently or were formerly under sentence; are in good standing with the Georgia Department of Community Supervision; meet Adult Basic Education (GED®) or NGTC admission requirements; and have an unmet financial need.
This donation will directly impact the recipient as well as generations to come.
Habersham County Superior Court Judge Chan Caudell says the scholarship offers hope to those who need it. “I applaud this generous gift and act of kindness. I am thankful for this investment in a student’s future because, as a member of the NGTC board of trustees, I know it will be used wisely, but moreover as a superior court judge who presides in several accountability courts, I know it represents tangible hope for someone determined to right their wrongs. This donation will directly impact the recipient as well as generations to come. Thank you to the donor.”
