The North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) is accepting applications for its 2022 Community Grant Cycle. Eligible organizations may submit an online application requesting from $500 up to $25,000 in grant funding that will support either programmatic or general operating needs. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on August 15.

“Since 1999, NGCF has awarded nearly $1 million in Community Grants, 62% of these funds were awarded within our last two cycles,” says NGCF President and CEO Michelle Prater.

To be eligible, organizations must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in good standing located in North Georgia. Organizations are also required to be registered with the State of Georgia and provide a current Charitable Solicitation Organization Permit unless your organization is exempt under C.G.A. § 43-17-9. Community Grant recipients are still eligible for other NGCF Grants programs in the same year. Community Grant recipients from 2021 may apply for a 2022 Community Grant.

Prater says the Foundation’s community grant awards have seen “tremendous growth” because of gifts to NGCF’s Community Fund as well as grants awarded from the W. Frank and Lillie Mae Green Fund and other generous fundholders. In 2020,
