The North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) has established the ‘NGCF Coronavirus Relief Fund’ that will make strategic grants to nonprofits in North Georgia who are impacted by and serving those who are affected by the coronavirus The community can make donations to this fund by visiting www.ngcf.org/donate and selecting the NGCF Coronavirus Relief Fund.

Michelle Prater

Michelle Prater, NGCF President & CEO announced the creation of this fund and stated that “We understand this pandemic will impact our community and our local nonprofits in many ways, including increased demand for their services, lost revenue due to closures and cancellations, as well as other challenges.”

In order to move resources quickly, there is not a formal application process for the Fund. However, “We do ask that nonprofits keep us informed on the impact this virus is having on their organizations and how they are serving those individuals and families who are being directly impacted at this time.”

You may email Michelle directly at [email protected].

NGCF’s advisory committee will oversee the distribution of funds raised. The committee includes members of the NGCF board of directors who represent all of North Georgia.

Once this pandemic ceases to exist, remaining funds will become part of the NGCF Disaster Relief Fund which is used for similar needs that arise in North Georgia.
