The 2015-2016 school year is now officially underway. Some 7,000 public school students in Habersham made their way to the classroom on Friday – some for the first time!
School Superintendent Matthew Cooper reports it was a smooth opening day. “We had our best first day of school ever in the four years I have been in Habersham County,” Cooper told Now Habersham.
Some private schools in the county also opened their doors this week. More will open Monday.
