Habersham EMC is warning its members about a new scam that is circulating.
Some members have received phone calls telling them their power will be disconnected unless they make a payment, according to HEMC’s Nicole Dover.
If you get such a phone call, don’t be fooled. HEMC says don’t give out any personal information, hang up, and report the call to local law enforcement.
