An Arkansas-based company is expanding its operations into phase II of Habersham County’s Airport Business Park.
Clear View Enterprises, a poultry supply distribution company headquartered in Arkansas, recently purchased a $200,000 tract in Phase II of the business park with plans to build a $2.5 million facility on the five-acre site.
Clear View operates facilities across five states, including a building the company leases in Hall County. The new Habersham location is expected to employ between three and five people.
“It’s good to have them in the county and in the community,” Partnership Habersham Executive Director Charlie Fiveash said. “It’s a big investment. We keep hitting these singles…it’s an excellent way to drive capital investment in our community.”
Habersham County Development Authority Chairman Jim Butterworth echoed that sentiment, calling the project a positive step for the area.
“I think this is another step in moving in the right direction,” Butterworth said. “The goal and the mission of the development authority is to reduce the taxes on residential areas by bringing in businesses like Clear View. We’re glad to have them in Habersham County.”
Clear View is expected to break ground at the site in the next 30 days.
