People are gathering in towns and cities across America today for the National Day of Prayer.

Local observances begin at 8:30 a.m. in Tallulah Falls. There, people will gather to the east of U.S. 441 near the spot where Karl Wallenda walked across Tallulah Gorge on a high-wire. The Tallulah Falls prayer service is scheduled to last until 10 a.m.
Between 10-11:30 a.m. a group will meet to pray in Clarkesville near the gazebo on the town square.
From 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. another group will gather to pray in the parking lot of Demorest Baptist Church located at 755 Central Avenue in Demorest.
In Cornelia, people will gather at 1 p.m. outside the Historic Train Depot on Clarkesville Street to offer up prayers for our county and nation.
At 2:30 p.m. the prayer movement will move to Prince of Peach Church on Airport Road in Baldwin. A group will pray there until 4 p.m.
Another group is scheduled to meet for prayer at Alto City Hall from 4-5:30 p.m.
