Naomi “Bug” F. Campbell, age 78, of Cornelia, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 11, 2017, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Campbell was born on August 10, 1939, in Anderson, South Carolina; a daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Fields. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wade Jesse Campbell; brothers, Jack Fields and Donnie Fields; sister, Martha Jean Daniels; grandson, Dennis Clarence Crocker; granddaughter, Tiffany Campbell; and stepson, Billy Campbell. Mrs. Campbell was of the Church of God faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a wonderful homemaker.
Survivors include her daughters: Cynthia “Cindy” Gragg of Mt. Airy, Sandra Bales of Cornelia, Tammy Crocker of Cornelia, and Lisa Thompson of Cornelia; stepdaughter, Debbie Gonzales of Abbeville, SC; son, Jacky Rowland of Cornelia; stepsons: Michael Campbell, Ricky Campbell, and Tony Campbell, all of Anderson, SC; brother, Roger Fields of Honea Path, SC; 29 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:30-8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at the funeral home.
