Nancy Blanche Williams Stephens, age 75 of Alto and formerly of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Habersham Medical Center.
Born in Gainesville on August 12, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Grover Williams and Verbie Millwood Williams. Mrs. Stephens was retired from the poultry industry and was of the Baptist faith. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and NASCAR racing.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Stephens and brother, Henry Williams.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Connie & Jimmy Shirley of Mt. Airy, Bonnie & Jerry Luke of Cornelia, and Hope Stephens Kelley & David Kelley of Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law, Hansel & Mary Williams of Talmo; sisters, Hazel Patterson of Flowery Branch and Peggy Shope of Murrayville; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; former spouse, J.B. Stephens of Alto; significant other, Walter Vandiver of Alto.
Funeral services are 2 pm Thursday, January 14, 2015, at Bethesda Fellowship Church with Bishop Clarence Reynolds and Rev. Kenny Kilby officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Gainesville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 pm on Wednesday.
