Music From Cleveland Christian Camp Too Loud For Neighbors

(Cleveland)- Activities during this past weekend at the Woodland Camp on Old Blue Creek Road in Cleveland has neighbors irate. During Monday nights meeting of the Cleveland City Council, Police Chief John Foster said his office has received numerous complaints about the loud music coming from the camp this past Friday and Saturday.

Chief Foster said officers were sent to the camp and were told, it was their property and they would do what they wanted to. Foster said, the whole community was irritated and he said they showed up at his office Monday morning to complain about the noise.

Foster told the council, “ the music was entirely too loud.” He said they received complaints from several locations quite a distance from the camp. Chief foster said, he went to the camp Monday and talked with a representative, “ we had a very pointed conversation this morning and they don’t seem to comply with the ordinances and I’m going to follow through if they have another event down there, I will cite them if we start getting complaints we been getting, “ said Foster.

The chief explained to representative they needed to get a special events permit and a permit for the use of a loudspeaker.

According to Foster more concerts are planned for the next couple of weekends.
