Multiple people were injured and one person was hospitalized Sunday after two boats crashed on Lake Russell, according to Elbert County authorities.
Officials say two boats collided in the area of Pearl Mill and Middleton at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9.
Multiple agencies responded to the Pearl Mill Boat Ramp to begin rescue operations.
A total of seven people and several hunting dogs were involved in the collision, according to authorities. One individual was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the others involved sustained only minor injuries.
The incident is currently under investigation by Georgia DNR.
