The Mt. Airy Town Council will reconsider the purchase of license plate readers for two patrol cars during its regular meeting on Monday, December 2.
The council discussed the purchase during its November meeting but tabled the matter after discussing the cost of the purchase. The cost for the readers to be installed on patrol vehicles is $26,000-29,000 per device.
