The Town of Mount Airy has cancelled the public budget hearing and called council meeting that were scheduled for Friday, December 12th at 6:30 pm.
City Clerk Sheri Berrong says officials decided to move the hearing to allow ample time for discussion and input from all interested parties into next year’s proposed budget.
The public hearing has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 17, at 5 p.m. A called council meeting will immediately follow.
