
The 59th Annual Mountain Laurel Festival will be held today, Saturday, May 15, in Clarkesville. The festival is returning after a year off due to the pandemic. It will feature local arts and crafts, live music and entertainment, demonstrations, and a rubber duck race on the Soque River at Pitts Park.
The festival kicks off with a parade at 10 a.m. starting near South State Bank at Washington Street.
The 10th annual VFL Duck Race caps off the festivities at 3:45 p.m. in Pitts Park.
