The Mountain Judicial Circuit has a new Assistant District Attorney. Ben Green was recently appointed to the post by District Attorney George Christian.Green will serve as the narcotics prosecutor for Habersham, Rabun and Stephens counties.
In that role, Christian says Green will lead any state prosecution of individuals arrested during the multi-million dollar drug trafficking operation takedown in Stephens and Habersham counties, and in South Carolina, in February.
Green previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in Jackson County where he also served as a member of the Jackson County Drug Court team. More recently, he practiced law as a partner in the law firm of Bradford, Primm, and Green in Jefferson.
Green is a veteran and former UH-60 Blackhawk pilot and Company Commander.
Announcing Green’s appointment in a press release, Christian said “the District Attorney’s office and the citizens of the three-county Mountain Judicial Circuit will be well served by the experience, competence, and leadership qualities that Ben brings to the office.”
