A motorcyclist is recovering from injuries he sustained Tuesday morning in a wreck on Highway 17 in Clarkesville.

60-year-old Toby Swinford sustained minor injuries when he crashed the 2003 Yamaha XVS1100 he was driving. He was riding with several other bikers at the time.

State troopers say the Belton, South Carolina, man was following another motorcycle too closely. When the motorcycle in front of him attempted to turn right onto Rocky Branch Road, Swinford applied his brakes, overcorrected, and crashed.
