An Elberton man escaped serious injury this morning when he wrecked while riding his motorcycle in north Habersham County.
The Georgia State Patrol says 57-year-old Thomas Wright was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson Road King north on GA-197 when he ran off the road in a curve and overturned.
The accident happened around 10:44 a.m. just north of Ivy Mountain Road.
Wright sustained apparent minor injuries, according to Habersham County Emergency Services Director Chad Black. Habersham EMS transported him by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment.
This is the third motorcycle wreck in the area in the past five days. On July 14 a motorcyclist was injured in a wreck on the US 441 Bypass in Cornelia. And on July 16 an Alto biker was killed when a car pulled into his path on GA-365 in Hall County.
