The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of a fire that broke out Thursday morning near Clermont.

At 8:30 a.m. on August 22, firefighters responded to a call about a large shed fire in the 3500 block of Holly Springs Road.

“The first arriving engine discovered a fully involved outbuilding surrounded by trees,” says Hall County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Kimberlie Ledsinger.

Crews began their water attack and contained the flames within minutes. Ledsinger says two engines shuttled water since there were no fire hydrants near the scene.

No one was injured and no one was found inside the structure, according to Ledsinger.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
