The Habersham Mothers of Preschoolers, or MOPS, group is hosting their Fall Kickoff in Clarkesville on August 12th at 7:30pm. It will be a kid-free evening of fun and fellowship under the stars! Local mothers of children from birth to preschool age are invited to mark their calendars and join MOPS for a stellar, “Starry Eyed” Mom’s Night Out!
Get Starry Eyed
Starry Eyed, the MOPS theme for this year, is: Seeing the light in the darkness and choosing to live courageously in both. It is opening our eyes to wonder and choosing hope over fear. Starry Eyed is significant acts of kindness that send ripples of light into the world. It is a choice to live fully and wholly and to breathe our way back to life.
MOPS groups are local communities that help moms be better moms by understanding their unique needs, challenges and joys — in this vital season of early mothering.
About MOPS
For over 35 years, MOPS has been creating authentic communities where moms gather to experience encouragement, support and hope. But, it doesn’t stop there! Through training and development customized to women in this stage of life, and through do-able service opportunities, MOPS grows moms to make a better world.
The Habersham MOPS group typically meets two Fridays per month from 9:30am – 11:30am throughout the school year at Level Grove Baptist Church in Cornelia. The first regular meeting of the year is set for Friday, August 26th.
Childcare for children aged birth to preschool is provided. Meetings include brunch, speakers, creative activities, and most importantly, community.
Group meeting dates and the exact location of the Mom’s Night Out event can be found on the group’s Facebook page at facebook.com/MOPSofHabersham.
