Mocahbee tapped to be East Hall High’s new head baseball coach

East Hall High School has selected Andrew Mocahbee as its new baseball coach. Mocahbee has spent the past two seasons as assistant coach at South Gwinnett High School.

East Hall High School Athletic Director, Adam Rich, announced Tuesday the hiring of East Hall’s new baseball coach, Andrew Mocahbee, pending board approval.

Mocahbee has recently been the assistant coach at South Gwinnett High School for the last two seasons. Prior to his stint at South Gwinnett, he worked as a graduate assistant coach at Middle Georgia State, where he focused on catchers and hitters. Mocahbee played 4 years of college baseball, finishing at Middle Georgia State, and was a second-team All-American catcher. He finished his playing career in the semi-pro Can-Am League with both the New Jersey Jackals and the Ottawa Champions.

“I’m excited to get started working with the program and bringing back the winning tradition to East Hall,” stated Mocahbee upon taking the position.

“East Hall is excited to have Coach Mocahbee join our coaching staff,” said Rich. “He is a decorated player and has worked hard as an assistant in both the college and high school ranks. Coach Mocahbee is excited to begin building our program and put the work in to keep the program on the right trajectory.”

Mocahbee will be joining East Hall High School as a special education teacher. He is currently married to his wife Kayla Mocahbee.
