(CLEVELAND) – An 83-year-old man reported missing since Monday from Cherokee County was located safe in Cleveland Tuesday afternoon. Cleveland Police Chief John Foster said the subject, Calvin Ball was at McDonalds on South Main Street where an employee started talking with him and from their discussion decided to call the police.
Chief Foster said he saw the report on TV last night about Ball. Foster said they talked with him and he knew where he lived. The Chief said they took him to the police station and gave him some refreshments and called a med unit to check him. Police stayed with him until has son arrived to pick him up around 5 PM.
Foster said Mr. Ball seemed to be okay, but they did suggest they take him to the hospital to be check out further.
