UPDATE DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
Milous O’Neal Anders, age 80 of Martin, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.
Born on March 20, 1939, in Otto, North Carolina to the late Theodore and Helen McConnell Anders. Mr. Anders was a self-employed small engine mechanic. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed playing gospel music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Regina Rogers; brother, Willard Anders; sister, Doris Talley.
Surviving are his wife, Faye Baker Anders; son, Dale Anders of Clayton; daughters, Kathy Sumner and Marilyn Webb both of Clayton; stepdaughters and step sons-in-law, Debbie & Horace Shedd of Wahalla, South Carolina and Rhonda & Terry Chitwood of Mt. Airy; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Gary & Lisa Thomas of Eastanollee; 4 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services have been postponed and are rescheduled for 3:30 pm, Sunday, February 9, 2020, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
