No need to panic. While this may be the milk shelves at Ingles tonight, replenishments are on the way. According to Tripp Jameson, co-manager at the Cornelia Ingles, trucks are arriving tonight from the distribution center in Asheville. Cornelia and Clarkesville stores did double their normal Saturday and Sunday business. As expected, milk, bread and eggs were big items along with cereal and all manner of snack items. In Clarkesville, sleds sold out early.
At Lowe’s, the story was much the same, extremely busy. Generators and any manner of heater, from propane to electric were selling briskly. IceMelt and weather stripping were running a close second. Assistant Store Manager, Josh Tow, said that with two trucks on the docks ready to be unloaded, “Lowe’s is ready to help our community keep warm and safe.”
Rest easy, supplies are on the way.
