Artists, crafters, and do-it-your-selfers were among those who turned out in Cornelia on Saturday for the grand opening of Michaels. The arts & crafts and novelty store is the latest retailer to take up shop inside the renovated Kmart at the Habersham Village Shopping Center.
This is the first retailer of its kind in Habersham County.
The community joined employees to celebrate with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, free crafts, giveaways, local food favorites, and more.
“Michaels is the one-stop-shop for all things creative,” says Ashley Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer at Michaels. “Getting closer to our customers allows us to provide them with not only a destination to shop but also a place to get inspired. We’re proud to be bringing even more of that inspiration to the creative community of Cornelia.”
