Funeral services are scheduled July 3 for a Cornelia man who died when a semi-trailer rolled over him. 52-year-old Dan Deiter died Wednesday, June 27 while working in Paulding County in Northwest Georgia.
Investigators say Deiter was spreading mulch being loaded into a semi-trailer when the semi began to roll backwards. Deiter lost his footing and fell off. The trailer then rolled over him, according to a report by WSB-TV.
Deiter was an Air Force veteran employed as a truck driver for Triple H. Transport, Inc.
He’s survived by his wife and two children.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 3 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel in Demorest. The chapel is located at 245 Central Avenue, Demorest, Georgia 30535
