Suspect arrested after tip to police
A 25-year-old Maysville man is facing multiple drug charges after citizen complaints prompted an investigation, according to a news release from the GBI.
On October 1, Commerce police and Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) agents executed a search warrant at 5132 Crossing Place. The search warrant was executed in response to complaints of suspected drug distribution in the area, ARDEO Special Agent in Charge Ken Howard says.
During the search, Howard says agents seized firearms and “distribution amounts” of MDMA, psilocybin mushrooms, THC concentrate, and marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia.
Authorities arrested Nicholas Armand and charged him with possession of Schedule I MDMA, possession of Schedule I psilocybin mushrooms, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
