Funeral services for Mary Louise Tatum Fain of Clarkesville will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 4:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Steve McIntyre will officiate and interment will follow the service in Old Nacoochee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 2-4 PM and from 5-7 PM.
Mrs. Fain passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at her residence.
Born in Habersham County on September 7, 1929, Mrs. Tatum was the daughter of the late Orvil J. and Laura L. Allen Tatum. She was retired from Orbit Mfg. with over 30 years of loyal service. Mrs. Fain was a member of Cool Springs Methodist Church. In addition to her parents Mrs. Tatum is preceded in death by sisters Bernice Wheeler, Leona Palmer, Opal Burke and brother Orvil Tatum, Jr.
Survivors include her husband Thomas N. Fain, Jr. of Clarkesville, son and daughter in law Thomas R. “Randy” Fain and wife Jean of Clarkesville, brothers Charles Tatum of Turnerville, and Wayne Tatum of Fairview, granddaughters Stephanie Nicole Fain of Clarkesville, Jessica Ann Fain of Chicago, Illinois, and Catherine Elizabeth Fain of Clarkesville as well as several nieces and nephews.
