Mary Lou Caudell Meister, age 91, of Baldwin, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015.
Born on August 13, 1923, in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Myrtle Ausburn Caudell. Mrs. Meister was a cook for over 35 years at the Steak House in Baldwin and in her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and growing flowers. She was a member of Baldwin Baptist Church, where she taught the Sunbeams-Mission Friends for over 25 years. Mrs. Meister was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Claud Wilson Meister; brothers, Bobby Joe Caudell and Harold Caudell; sister-in-law, Marian Caudell.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Claudine and Bill Adams of Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Teresa Meister of Baldwin; brother, Mack Caudell of Baldwin; grandchildren, Brandon (Mandy) Adams, Nicole (Kane) Parson, Nicolas (Breana) Meister, and Drake Meister; great grandchildren, Anna, John , Kamdun, Kimber, and Kash.
Funeral services are 1:00 pm Monday, May 11, 2015 at Baldwin Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Rice and Nicolas Meister officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin Cemetery with Rev. Mark Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
