Mary Lilliston James Harris, age 86 of Clarkesville, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Harris was born September 21, 1928, in Albany, Georgia, and was a daughter of the late Leonard James and Mattie Beal Cameron James. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed singing and time with her friends at the Senior Center. Mrs. Harris was a volunteer of home health and member of the Red Hat Society.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles I. Harris; daughter, Nancy Hunnicutt; brother, Jimmy Lilliston.
Surviving are children, Lynn Morgan of Demorest, Cherrie (Bill) Cottrell of Homer, Charles A. (Melinda) Harris of Cleveland, and Renee Carr of Clarkesville, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 3:30 pm Sunday, December 21, 2014, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Pastor Johnny Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Clarkesville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Saturday.
