Market Report for August 8th

Schools are starting and we were able to knock one or two degrees off the weather. I am ready for fall! This week fall starts arriving at the market. Just in time to give one to your teacher, apples arrive. Be sure to come on over to the market Saturday and gather up locally grown and all natural goodies to send off to school and work this week.

Clarkesville Farmers’ Market: apples, carrots, potatoes, butternut squash, tomatoes,  honey, watermelon, cantaloupe sweet italian peppers, eggplant, garlic, squash, and herbs and mints of all kinds, okra,  eggplant, radishes, swiss chard, cucumbers, noodle beans. There is also eggs and free range chicken, breads and other baked goods. Lots of great crafts including A Frayed Knot and Memory Lane. It is not to late to get some ideas for Christmas!

Soque Farmers’ Market:  Abby J reports that the market will be closed for the next two weeks due to work being done on the farm.
