Margie Williamson joins Now Habersham as Faith Editor

Now Habersham is delighted to announce that Margie Williamson has joined our team as Faith Editor and Feature Reporter. She brings to the job a rare mix of theological expertise, a strong record of writing excellence, and an enthusiasm for exploring, understanding, and serving her community.

Margie has been writing devotionals and lesson materials since 1982 and has been working as an editor since 2007. She’s discovered that both writing and editing lead to continued learning about God and His Word. Margie completed her undergraduate work at the University of Georgia, and her master’s degree and her Ph.D. at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Besides devotionals and lessons, she has written and published articles, poetry, textbook chapters, a training book of Youth Sunday School Workers, and a series of research articles in the Christian Education Journal. Besides newspaper articles, her latest publication is a story she wrote about her mom in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Best Mom Ever! Her devotional advent book, The Christmas Promises Devotional: A Journey from Cradle to Crown, will be released this fall.

Margie’s husband Bob recently retired after 44 years in ministry. They’ve moved to the mountains where she writes and he enjoys the outdoors. They love birding together, and they have embraced life in the mountains. They have two children, both with amazing spouses, and four grandchildren.
