Margaret Kaye Smallwood Simmons, age 66 of Baldwin, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019.
Born in Roanoke, Alabama on December 11, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Handley and Cora Fowler Smallwood. Margaret was a seamstress at Academy Garment. She was an avid reader, enjoyed yard sales and loved her dogs and music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dwayne Simmons; brothers, James Smallwood, Bob Smallwood, Johnny Smallwood, Leonard Knight and Junior Kirkland; sisters, Jennie Alred, Betty Nix, Sarah Grimes and Mary Ann Williams.
Survivors include her sons & daughter-in-law, Jeff and (Blaine) Sosebee of Clermont, Christopher Simmons of Mt. Airy; daughter, Cheryl and (Roy) McCall of Tallahassee, Florida; 5 grandchildren; Brittany Sosebee, Blake Sosebee, Lauren Cruz, Dillon McCall, and Brandon McCall and 5 great grandchildren; two sisters; Peggy Ware of Tignall, Georgia, Marie Willingham of LaGrange, Georgia, a brother; Charles Smallwood of LaGrange, Georgia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Simmons requested that her body be cremated and a private memorial service held at a later date at the Union Hill Cemetery.
