A man sought in connection with an alleged domestic incident last weekend was taken into custody Tuesday, April 22, in the Batesville area, according to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office.
Before the arrest, authorities had searched – and even attempted to track – the suspect for three days without success.
The incident began on Saturday, April 19, when the Sheriff’s Patrol Division, along with a K-9 unit, responded to an area near GA 356 around 3:30 p.m. to search for the individual. Despite the efforts, the suspect was not located.
Now, Habersham deputies have arrested 36-year-old Dusty Levi Allen in connection with the incident. Since Saturday, law enforcement officials have maintained there was no indication he posed a threat to the general public during the search and refused to publicly release his name or photo.
No further details about the arrest or incident were immediately released.
