The Banks County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for his alleged involvement in the disappearance of his mother, who went missing last month.
On Wednesday, Feb. 12, authorities arrested Jason Campbell, 34, in connection with the disappearance of Marie Campbell, who was reported missing on Jan. 6. Campbell has been charged with concealing the death of a person, according to the sheriff’s office.
“This meticulous investigation, led by our investigators and forensic unit, remains ongoing. Additional details will be released as they become available,” Banks County Sheriff Carlton Speed said.
A search for Marie Campbell, 62, has been ongoing since she was last seen on Bennett Road in Homer. As reported by Now Habersham, Marie Campbell lived with Jason Campbell in Banks County.
