Habersham Central High School star quarterback Tre’ Luttrell is heading to Lenoir-Rhyne University next fall. On Wednesday, Luttrell signed a letter of intent to play for the Bears in Hickory, North Carolina.
Luttrell transferred to Habersham Central from Gainesville this year. He led the Raiders to their first playoff appearance in seven years.
He was voted the 8-AAAAAA Region Player of the Year by the league’s coaches.
After the signing ceremony, Luttrell took to Twitter to announce his decision. “All glory to God!” he tweeted. “Proud to officially be a Lenoir-Rhyne Bear!” He used the tweet to thank those who’ve had an impact on his life.
