Psalm 143:8, “Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.”
This morning I read the words taped on my mirror from months ago – the words I placed there as a reminder of Who guides my life and controls my day. I hadn’t noticed the verse for several weeks in all my busyness but today, my eyes fell on the Psalm, and I read it over and over.
As I watered my garden and container plants, I thought of God’s loving kindness. In a relationship with God, His loving kindness can be expected. We can trust in Him no matter what has happened in our lives to show us His compassion and grace and hope. It is a promise He has given us, and we can trust that it will appear when our day is good and when our day is bad.
Confusion happens to everyone. There are times we do not know what to do or what to say. For those who walk with God, we can rely on His steadfast love and guidance. He will supply the direction and the answer.
Today, focus on hearing His loving kindness. Trust Him to do what He has promised. Listen for directions as to which way you should walk. Know, no matter what, He has you covered today and every day.
