Louise Wade Thompson, age 92, of Alto, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 8, 2021.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Alto, Georgia, on January 29, 1929, to the late Randall and Ida Wade. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Vance Thompson, Sr.; daughter, Janice Priscilla Thompson; grandson, Christopher Lee Scroggs; brother and sister-in-law, James and Annie Belle Wade; a brother, Bobby Wade.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a “mama” to many.
Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law: Jackie and Clint Scroggs, of Alto; Wanda and Rodney Gosnell, of Clarkesville; three sons and daughters-in-law: Wayne and Wanda Thompson, of Cornelia; William and Jan Thompson, of Alto; and Jimmy and Cariedda Thompson, of Alto; son, Jerry Thompson, of Alto; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Howard and Emma Ruth Wade, of Demorest; and Charles and Polly Wade, of Demorest; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank a very special caregiver, Geneva Gosnell.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Fish officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021, at the funeral home.
