High school football returned to Northeast Georgia Friday night as a number of area teams kicked off their seasons.
Habersham 27, Madison County 6

Clouatre had roughly 175 rushing yards. Austin Wood had a TD catch, and Patrick Tedder recorded two interceptions. Up next, the Raiders take on Apalachee away in non-region play on Sept. 11.
Rabun County 35, Ridgeland 0
Top-ranked 2AA squad Rabun County pulled off a shutout in their away opener against Ridgeland. Wildcats QB Gunner Stockton dominated the Panthers with 3 TD passes and a rushing score. Up next, Rabun County takes on Prince Avenue Christian in non-region play at home on Sept. 11.
