Popular YouTuber Kyle Myers of Carnesville faces a felony drug charge after allegedly receiving illegal narcotics through the mail
He goes by the name “FPS RUSSIA” on YouTube. Today, this internet personality’s got a jail number attached to his name.
31-year-old Kyle Lamar Myers of Carnesville was arrested earlier this month after drug agents say he received approximately 25 grams of “butane honey oil” through the U.S. Postal Service. (Butane honey oil is a marijuana concentrate that’s more potent than high grade marijuana.)
Myers, who plays a Russian character on the internet and whose YouTube channel has over 6 million subscribers, was arrested by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) on August 7.
Franklin County authorities and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms also executed a search warrant at Myers’ residence on Royston Road in Carnesville. Numerous weapons, drug paraphernalia, and a quantity of butane honey oil were seized during the search, according to ARDEO.
Myers faces a felony charge of possession of a Schedule I substance with the intent to distribute. He’s also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug related objects.
Myers was transported to the Franklin County Detention Center following his arrest.
This is the second time in four years federal agents have searched Myers’ home and property. The first time was following the shooting death of his business partner Keith Ratliff.
Ratliff was found dead in his office outside Carnesville on January 3, 2013.
