White County Commissioners this week honored White County businessman Carl Dann, Jr., for his contributions and service to the community.
Dann became the owner of Smoky Mountain Traders in Cleveland in 1999. In May 2020, he joined Chick-fil-A as a trainer and development coordinator and began the process of applying for an external operator position to operate his own Chick-fil-A franchise.
Now, Dann is leaving White County to pursue his goal of operating a Chick-fil-A franchise in Nebraska.
Commissioners presented Dann with a proclamation acknowledging his contributions to the community through business, spiritual, and service involvement.
Dann, who was not aware of the recognition, expressed his appreciation, saying, “I will carry this with me the rest of my days.”
