The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and GBI have opened an investigation after the body of a deceased female was found in Carnesville, according to authorities.
The woman, who has not been identified, was located at 828 Goolsby Rd. on Friday, Jan. 24, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office will continue to work on the case in conjunction with the GBI. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities say details will be released as they become available.
Police say there is no immediate threat to the public at this time.
