Demorest, GA – The Department of Athletics at Piedmont College is asking fans to choose the cover image for the 2014-15 Year-In-Review, the annual publication that documents all things Piedmont athletics. The Lion and Lady Lion faithful will be able to vote via social media for their favorite image of the year as that picture will grace the cover of the department’s annual review of the past year in Piedmont athletics.
This past year, it was the iconic picture featuring ABBY SMITH’s head-first slide into home plate that donned the 2013-14 Year-In-Review with design work included from SIDesign. The slide came as the only run in a 1-0 win over Huntingdon College in the first USA South Championship game in softball that helped Piedmont eventually secure a title on the diamond.

Fans will have the chance to vote for this year’s cover shot in a number of ways with the only requirement being the image number associated with the picture. When voting, fans will need to provide the image number located in the bottom left hand corner when scrolling over the selected image from the Flikr gallery of images graciously provided by Jasper Lee and Danielle Jenkins.
The gallery of Favorite Sports Images to choose from was composed by the number of views each image received over the 2014-15 school year. As of July 1, 2015, Piedmont’s Flickr galleries eclipsed the 1,000,000 view mark with more than 25,000 images of Piedmont athletics posted to the Flikr galleries this school year.

To submit your vote, fans can utilize Twitter by tweeting @PiedmontLions and including the image number of their chosen shot. Image numbers can also be emailed in to the Department of Athletic Communications at [email protected].
Fans are reminded there are multiple pages of photos to choose from at the main image gallery on Flikr, so be sure to look at all choices before submitting your vote, and don’t forget to include the image number! Deadline for voting is Tuesday, July 21st at noon Eastern.
