Prior to presenting diploma’s to 134 graduates at the newly-named Truett-McConnell University, school alumnus and Third Day keyboardist Scotty Wilbanks, spoke to the crowd.

The 45-year old Wilbanks, who grew up in Maysville, graduated from TMC 25 years ago and shared humorous remarks about his education and career in the Christian music industry. He advised graduates to commit “to the journey and not the outcome.”
“So many people are looking for guarantees instead of opportunities,” Wilbanks said.
