A Firefighter is more than a man or woman that puts out a fire. A Firefighter is a friend, husband, father, helping hand, hero.
Recently, I witnessed a Firefighter doing what most people see as the boring side of the job. As a mother and daughter walked back to their car, one of Cornelia’s firefighters stepped into traffic to ensure cars would stop. Now, this might not seem very impressive but it shows even though there’s not a fire they are always here to serve, help, and protect.
In these photos, you can see a few members of Cornelia Fire assisting a tow truck driver load and secure a motorcycle after a wreck.
Thank you to the professionalism of all first responders and law enforcement I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside. Thank you for your dedication and service to this community.
