Dr. Jaspar S. Lee of Batesville is one distinguished fellow…literally.
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Mississippi State University named Lee a Distinguished Fellow for the School of Human Sciences.
Dr. Lee was recognized during an awards ceremony on March 7.
He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural education at Mississippi State University in 1963 and 1966, respectively. Lee earned his Doctorate of Education from the University of Illinois in 1970.
Lee served 25 years in higher education as a faculty member in agricultural education at Virginia Tech and Mississippi State University. He then began working in publishing fulltime with approximately 400 publications produced under his direction.
Lee is a native of Clinton, Mississippi.
