Winners of the 11th Annual VFL Duck Race are all smiles as they receive their prize checks.
Shown, left to right, are VFL Board President Dr. Don Gnecco, Sally Baker whose duck number 847 came in first place to win $1,000; Kimberly and Matthew Pippin whose duck number 1903 came in second to win $500. Not pictured, is Barbara Hampton of Roswell whose duck number 407 came in third to win $250.
The race was held in conjunction with the 60th annual Mountain Laurel Festival and raised around $19,000 to support literacy programs in Habersham County.
