Life in Motion: Good Friday

17 Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). 18 There they crucified him and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle. - John 19: 17-18 (NIV)

In the Christian faith, Good Friday marks the day Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross.

As the Bible tells it, he died, was buried, and three days later he arose.

While Easter is a day of celebration marking Christ’s resurrection and victory over death, Good Friday is a somber remembrance of his sacrifice.

On Friday, April 10, the Torch Worship Center in Demorest commemorated Good Friday with its annual Three Crosses display.

The crosses were placed outside the church on GA-105/Cannon Bridge Road so that passersby could see them. Some even stopped to pray.
