“She always believed I would make something of myself and always strived for me to become a better person. (She taught me) to never be afraid ” ~ Jolanda Seibold, Washington State
Habersham Central High School graduate Jolanda Seibold recently shared this photo on Facebook. It’s a picture of her, her 2-year old son Jacob and her former teacher Linda Church. The three met up recently when Jolanda was home for a visit from Washington State where she and her family are stationed in the military. Here’s what Jolanda posted online with the photo:
“Little jake got to meet my 9th grade English teacher today! I haven’t seen her in 12+ years. One of my favorite teachers! Always made me strive for something better and had a lot of faith in me! It was great to catch up. Next time we will have more time ♡ — with Linda Smith Church.”
Jolanda says Mrs. Church helped her with poetry and “helped me sign into a contest.” She adds, “She always believed I would make something of myself and always strived for me to become a better person. (She taught me) to never be afraid to do something.”
What a testament. What a tribute. What a powerful reminder that the greatest lessons in life speak to our hearts, not just our heads.
