Life in Motion: Bravo!

The chaperone may have been drowsy, but the audience was wide awake for the local production of The Drowsy Chaperone. It was a crowd-pleaser: An impressive display of local musical and comedic talent.

This production was the first official on-stage collaboration between the Habersham Community Theater and Habersham Central High School Stage Raiders. It ended its four-day run at the HCHS Fine Arts Auditorium in Mt. Airy on Sunday, August 7.

Producing a show with such a large cast and so many moving parts (literally) was a lot of work for the cast and crew. Working around summertime schedules made it even more challenging. Still, each rehearsal and production meeting paid off and was evident in the final production.

What a joyful experience and a well-deserved standing ovation!

Director Jeremy Bishop and AD/Stage Manager Alison Lamb did an outstanding job pulling this production of The Drowsy Chaperone together. It was like old home week seeing so many Stage Raider alums return to Central’s stage.

The joint production revealed we have a deep bench of gifted performers in this community. We encourage you to support them at HCT and HCHS and look forward to more creative collaborations like this in the future.

BRAVO!
