Around 60 people joined in a candlelight Christmas walk through downtown Clarkesville on Monday, December 19. Carolers greeted them at different stops along the way, and the Christmas story from the Bible was shared.
The half-mile-long walk began at the Burns-Sutton House, which houses Norton Agency on Washington Street. When it was over, the walkers warmed up at a fire pit on the downtown square.
This was the first year for Clarkesville’s Candlelight Walk. It was sponsored by the city, with local businesses and churches participating.
